After a splendid holiday at the South Island, my family and I settled down in Palmerston North. Last week I started my activities for my sabbatical at Massey University; a detailed plan is attached. I am hosted by the Institute of Natural Resources (http://inr.massey.ac.nz/). My closest supervisors are Ian Yule, Ewen Cameron and David Gray.
My general main focus will be on the use of ICT/softare in agri-food production and probably more specific on precision agriculture. Ian (who is also director of the New Zealand Center for Precision Agriculture, http://www.nzcpa.com/) suggested that I could do a survey on this amongst various stakeholders.
I am open for suggestions on this idea and especially what stakeholders I could get involved.
It is my intention to write blogs frequently on my progress on this. If you are more interested in the personal experiences of my family and I, you can follow us at http://wolfertdownunder@blogspot.com (in Dutch).
