Abstract: 

This document describes the project GI-E-EA which is a project sustained by the Ministry of agriculture and is part of the actual initiative of evaluating the agro-environmental practices. The aims of the project are to create necessary conditions to the agro-environmental tracability of the arable or breeding practices. For that, it will be done a dictionary with the environmental data of agricultural holdings for IT application or statistical application of evaluation, comparison, risk forecasting. This dictionary is essential and has to be build to help other environmental projects focused on agriculture.

    In application of the European rule 21-2004, the sheep and goat owners have to notify in a central data base the movements in group of animal which enter or go out the farm. The specifications describe the IT modalities to realize these movements notifications. The document is composed of several parts: context and general architecture, the organization, the appendix. It is accompanied by the message scheme, in the XSD format.

    Abstract: 

    The farmers always have to send more data to their partners. To help this communication, it is necessary to develop the interoperability of the IT system. The operational means are named “EDI”, computerized data exchange but it is also necessary to have a semantic operability. The project GIEA (management of the information of the farm) has for aim to define a common agricultural semantic. This project was structured around technical groups. The actors have very different competence and knowledge field. Three technical groups have been built: soil, building, farm. The objective was to build a common job language. The results have been structured in diagram and dictionary. The vocabulary is translated into concepts. In order to present the relation between the concepts, the UML language has been used. A concept dictionary has been established. The aim is to become a national standard. The results of GIEA project are used by the project Resagri.

The permanent data of the farm deal with several themes: farm identification, building, contract…The approach of modeling has taken into account the works of DGME (Direction Générale pour la Modernisation de l’Etat) in the General Reference Table of Interoperability.This document has for aim:Giving the textual definition of each semantic concept,Listing a minimal scope of attributes,Making explicit the descriptions of the main relations between the concepts.In annex we can find the main nomenclature (coding of elements) of the theme.

    Identification of the farm and its actors :The data of identification of the farm refer to the elements relative at the actors’ description and the principal units of production which practice at less one farmer activity.The main identification circuit of the farm economical organization in this document is the one of registration SIREN/SIRET (identifier of juridical, physical or moral person in the data base SIRENE of INSEE (Institut National de la Statistique et des Etudes Economiques).The official site http://www.sirene.tm.fr is implemented by the CFE (center of formalities for enterprises), rule played by the agricultural chamber when the enterprise has a main agricultural activity.The works done don’t overshadowed the other existing circuits of identification (PACAGE registration for the management of PAC helps, EDE registration for the traceability in the breeding field…) but want to offer the perspective of convergence to allow the migration to the single identifier SIREN/SIRET.The identification elements presented in this document make up the basis of identification at which is linked the whole data collected on the farm. The data concern one of the problematic: general, breeding, soil.Buildings: the data about buildings belong to general data. The buildings have a long life and are often used for different use: animal or crop so the model present relation between soil and breeding.Contract and regulation: the farmers’ contracts and the regulation have also a long life and can concern animals, crops or others elements of the farm. The concepts have been defined in relation with the group soil and breeding.Some transversal concepts that concern soil and breeding are presented in a single way in a chapter of this document.

    Bilan genetique de la renovation du systeme d'information genetique francais

    Abstract: 

    In 1970, a system composed of about 300 organisations for animal identification, parentage and performance recording, bull testing, artificial insemination and herd bookkeeping was established. At that time, several softwares were implemented in order to provide breeding value calculation with data. In 1995, it was decided to build a new, more flexible information system that in addition to facilitating breeding value calculation would allow improving data quality and communication within the 300 organisations of the French Breeding System. A five years project was necessary to build a system able to record 2 000 different types of data from 250 000 farmers. At the moment, about 100 000 000 animals are recorded as well as 53 000 000 parentages, 432 000 000 milk records, 73 000 000 artificial inseminations and 8 400 000 morphology records for dairy cattle. This project was an opportunity to get the expertise of a large database as well as software engineering under heterogeneous conditions. The system, which has achieved its main objectives, has allowed several economies in the renewing of old information systems and in adaptations to the year 2000, to the European standard for bovine identification code and to new milk recording rules. It has also contributed to the improvement of the data quality of the national French identification database and has facilitated the implementation of information systems shared between different organizations as well as internet portals for farmers.

    Identification et tracabilite bovine en France - Etat des lieux et perspectives

    Abstract: 

    An operational system of beef identification and traceability exists in France since 1970.Organisations managed by breeders (EDE) and under the state control allow the running of this system and offer other services linked to animal, like the performance control or the filiation registration. The european regulation about cattle identification and traceability and the membership of the agricultural professional of the bovine industry have allowed to extend and secure the identification and traceability system. The fact that the data are used by the industry and by the state allows to have a good quality of data. To improve the system, some tracks are to enhance the reliability of the marks, to simplify the data acquisition by using electronic identification and to speed the transmission of the data by more computerized exchanges.

    Projet RES-AGRI - Domaine Elevage

    The aim of the RES AGRI project is to put the farmer at the center of the data exchange in the agricultural sphere, offer a service at low cost... The aims of the global project RES-AGRI are to do a mapping the existing data exchange, to elaborate a development plan considering the field expectation, to test in real the technical and economical validity of the specified system through pilot project, to choose a technical plateform to prepare the deployment, to train users to the tools and to normalize the exchange by following UN/CEFACT rules.This document presents the project RESAGRI et is linked with the others documents of flow mapping (documents named GAE-1-…) and description sheets (documents named GAE-2-… and PJ-…).     A breeding group has been built. It was driven by FIEA. The Institut de l’Elevage and IFIP pig Institut manage this group and the step of analysis. Some ARSOE participate to this group. Different focus groups have been built to do the work of analysis, to make a mapping of the flows. In breeding field, the groups are: Identification/ animal traceability, Animal genetic and insemination, Technical and economical/ commercial…dairy, Technical and economical/ commercial…meat, Animal feeding, Hygiene/vetinerary/sanitary.Flows have been identified in the breeding field:Identification and traceability for cattle (11 flows),Cattle genealogy (4 flows),Animal genetic insemination for dairy cattle (18 flows),Animal genetic insemination for meat cattle (5 flows),Identification and traceability for pig (13 flows),Animal genetic insemination for pig (36 flows),Identification and traceability for sheep and goat (7 flows),Animal genetic and insemination for dairy sheep (4 flows),Animal genetic and insemination for meat sheep (5 flows),Animal feeding (12 flows).The Resagri project has allowed by using the results of the GIEA project to implement the method UML-XML defined by the DGME (General Direction at the modernization of the State) in conformity with the UMM (Unified Modelling Method) defined by UN-CEFACT. The aim is to define XML message which is ebXML standard-reliant but the exchange scenarios have not been defined or approved by the agricultural group (TBG18) of UN-CEFACT.Three messages have been developed:Animal movements notification by the breeder to the identification data bases,The breeder’s request of the inventory of the cattle known in the local identification bases,The breeder’s request of brut data of dairy control collected by the technician and integrated in the national genetic information system.The interoperability by using these messages between the breeder’s IT system and the collective IT system will be tested on the basis of concrete systems.
